HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU!

Thanksgiving is a happy start to the holidays in our house. This time of year brings together families and friends of all shapes and sizes to cherish good memories spent together. One of my favorite things about this time of year are the fun traditions that come. Since being married, Trevor and I have started to blend together a few traditions from each of our childhoods and creating new ones all our own.

One of those traditions we created together is the Thanksgiving “Christmas Tree Shopping”.

After the dinner is done and homage is paid to the turkey and days of thanks, we start our Christmas season! I am not a big black friday shopper (I try to avoid at all cost!) but we do head out to our local tree farms and pick out this years evergreen. I love having the scent of pine in my home throughout the season. It brings so much cheer to our little apartment.

Life is imperfect, but wonderful. We have our little place, we will be picking out a our tree today and spending time with loved ones. Our goals in life are big and I am so grateful for a supportive husband who believes in big adventures.  It is too easy to complain about things we think we lack but being grateful in life might be the secret to a truly happy life. (Shhhh. Don’t tell.)
